Free writing and affirmations

Recently I have gotten into journaling and i’m finding it to be extremely helpful as someone who deals with overthinking and consistent anxiety! After I completed the Landmark Forum this past December I found a huge relief in my anxiety but getting back into my routine after a 20 day holiday I have been getting small spouts of anxious moments and feeling myself falling back into negative habits on occasion.

When I begin to notice these negative feelings creeping in, I’ll turn on some high vibrational music or sounds and free write and write down positive affirmations for 5-10 minutes to get myself fresh and out of my own head!

I have found this practice extremely helpful to get myself out of old, stale habits that serve me no purpose! I notice myself more clearly now noticing the habits I fall into, which instead of seeing as negatives I am able to combat in a much healthier way! Writing really helps me understand myself what I am feeling with no fear of judgement. Journaling truly feels to me like a safe space and I enjoy the security that the pages can bring!
